Fire doors are a critical ingredient of an effective and legally compliant passive fire protection (PFP) strategy in commercial buildings. They help stop or at least delay the spread of fire through occupancy areas and escape routes.
Building owners and employers are required by Fire Safety Legislation to take full responsibility for fire safety within their premises. As part of the risk assessment process, the building structure’s fire-rated elements must be shown to adhere to current legislation.
